Getting to know Vivobarefoot

Vivobarefoot was founded in 2012 by Galahad and Asher Clark, descendants of a legendary shoemaking family from Glastonbury, England, with a heritage dating back to 1825.
Growing up near the shores of Bantham Beach, where they often walked barefoot, they began to question conventional footwear. They sought a shoe that would allow the feet to function naturally, a quest that ultimately redefined the perspective of the entire footwear industry.
Unique Design Principles
Vivobarefoot stands apart from traditional shoes. Every pair is crafted with:
• Thin Soles: To provide sensory feedback from the ground, mimicking the barefoot experience.
• Wide Toe-Box: To allow toes to splay and move naturally.
• Maximum Flexibility: To enable the feet to move through their full range of motion, just like being barefoot.
• Innovative Technology & Sustainable Materials: Developed to prioritize both foot health and environmental responsibility.
What truly distinguishes Vivobarefoot is its rejection of traditional "cushioning." They believe the human foot is a masterpiece of biological engineering. Wearing thick, restrictive shoes only weakens the foot muscles over time.
Today, Vivobarefoot focuses not only on foot health but also on Sustainability—utilizing recycled and natural materials (such as algae-based foam) to minimize environmental impact.
